Tour Format
Day One:
For this tour we shall be using Cairnryan to Belfast as our departure point and aim to catch the morning ferry. Once we have disembarked from the vessel and had a quick head count, we shall make our way across the breadth of Ireland using a variety of roads before reaching our hotel which will be our base for the duration.
Day Two:
Fed and watered we now look forward to our first day out together where we shall take a lesuirely ride into the North of Ireland using some fine roads before catching the Rathmullan ferry to Buncrana. Back on the bikes our next stop will be the famous Giants Causeway with an option of visting the Bushmills Disitillery if desired before making our way back to our hotel. (Sober)
Day Three:
Another planned rideout where your eyes will be treated to spectacular scenery as we ride through Glenveagh National Park which lies in the heart of the Derryveagh Mountains in the north-west of Co. Donegal. It is a remote and hauntingly beautiful wilderness of rugged mountains and pristine lakes. The Park, over 16,000 hectares in extent consists of three areas. The largest of these is the former Glenveagh Estate, including most of the Derryveagh Mountains. To the west are the quartzite hills around Crocknafarragh and to the south, the peatlands of Lough Barra bog, Meenachullion and Crockastoller. Moving on we shall make our way to the Blue Stack Mountains avoiding the busier roads whereever possible before making our way back to our hotel in Milford.
Day Four:
Optional day off for those of you who wish to make the most of your hotel facilities, or would prefer to go and explore this magical part of the world on your own. However you are more then welcome to join us if you wish to take part in todays rideout. Approx 40 miles away sits Donegal which is a vibrant and interesting city and well worth a visit.
By now we should all be well acquainted, time to let our hair down and enjoy a few drinks together whilst sharing your favourite snaps, routes and stories of this wonderful part of Ireland.
Day Five:
Plenty of time to relax this morning and pack before we make our way back to Dublin to catch our ferry home to arrive back in Holyhead late afternoon. Time to say your goodbyes to new friends, swap telpehone emails etc before we start our journey homeward bound.
